OPENINGS:

Newark Associates, Inc., based in Newark, CA, is a consulting company providing software development services to high tech corporations in the US. We are experiencing significant growth, and we are looking to hire several qualified employees to support our growth in Information Systems and in Telecom Systems.

General Requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science or related discipline from a reputed university, and at least three years of strong technical experience developing software, with a willingness/ability to learn new technologies and tools. Excellent spoken and written communications skills, and ability to work with minimal direction/supervision are essential. Professional certification by the software vendor (eg, Sun Java certification, Oracle DBA, Siebel) is a major plus.

Specific Requirements:

Information Systems: Experience with ERP/ERM packages such as Oracle Applications, Siebel Systems, Clarify, and related development tools (Developer 2000, Siebel Tools, Clarify Tools, Actuate Reports). Thorough, expert-level technical knowledge of RDBMS concepts, OS platforms.

Systems Analyst/Business Analyst: Familiarity with Business Process analysis and mapping to ERP/ERM package features. Experience with configuring ERP/ERM packages to customer requirements.

Functional Consultants: Functional experience, and at least one complete installation, with ERP systems, e.g. Oracle Applications (Financials & Manufacturing), PeopleSoft, SAP, BaaN Functional experience, and at least one complete installation, with ERM (Front Office Automation) systems, e.g. Siebel Systems/Scopus, Vantive, Clarify. Excellent communications skills.

Software Engineers, ERM/ERP Systems: Proficiency with development tools (eg, Developer 2000, Siebel Tools). Experience in working with end-users to gather detailed requirements, detailed design, programming/implementation of the design, and testing. to deliver customized applications.

Software Engineers, Data Warehousing: Experience with Cognos, Brio, Arbor or Oracle tools for data warehousing, OLAP, report generation, performance enhancement.

Data Base Administrators/Systems Administrators (limited number of positions): Must be exceptionally strong Oracle and SQL Server DBAs, and Unix and Win NT systems administrators. Must have at least three years experience as administrator, and be strong with data modelling/database design, administration tools, performance optimization.

Telecom Systems:
Software Engineers, Telecom Systems: OO concepts/methodologies, C++/Java, distributed architectures, real-time embedded systems characteristics. Prior development experience with optical networking, wireless networking, transmission protocols, internet protocols, telecom features such as provisioning and alarms, switching, DSP programming or network management applications required. Must have proven ability to develop, troubleshoot and maintain complex hardware/software real-time high availability systems.
